User guide
Compare important change-request details with the latest completed approval Jira can clearly connect to the request.
Before you begin
- Use a Jira Service Management change request that you can already view.
- You must also be able to view its approval and change history.
- No app setup, field mapping, or workflow change is required.
Run a review
- Open the change request.
- Open the Review approval drift panel.
- Choose up to ten important fields. Summary is selected by default when available.
- Select Compare with latest approval.
- Compare each field's approved value with its current value.
Every click runs a fresh, read-only review. The app does not save your selection or result.
Understand the result
Changed after latest approval
At least one selected field changed after the latest clear completed approval. Check the approved and current values before relying on the earlier decision.
No selected change found after latest approval
The history Jira returned showed no later change to the fields you selected. This is a limited observation, not a compliance or completeness claim.
Cannot determine
The app could not reach a safe conclusion. An approval may still be open, required history may be unavailable, or Jira may have returned incomplete, changing, unsupported, or unclear evidence. Do not treat this result as clean.
Supported fields
The first release supports Summary, custom short text, custom single-choice fields, custom date and date-time fields, and custom URL fields. Unsupported field types do not appear in the picker.
Privacy and permissions
- The app reads Jira as the signed-in user.
- It uses only
read:jira-workandread:servicedesk-request. - It has no Jira write permission, app storage, remote service, analytics, or external data transfer.
